Bergerac is a small market town located in the Dordogne region of France. It is located in the South West of the country. The town covers an area of 56km and has a population of just under 28,000 and it’s of exceptional heritage. Owing to the popularity of the wines that comes this area it has quickly become a hotspot for wine and food lovers from all over the world.

Things to do in Dordogne
Just incase you are stuck for ideas, I did a quick write up on things to do in Dordogne.
The Dordogne region is situated in prime wine growing country in the south western area of France. There are more than enough attractions to keep the visitor happy and occupied in this attractive area. The Gardens of Marqueyssac in Vezac are situated just above the Dordogne and will involve a great deal of walking and some glamorous and awesome views of a natural beauty that you will not want to put your camera away.
Le Tour de France 2014 in Dordogne
How about combining a morning visit to a vineyard and watch the race in the afternoon? We are proud to announce that Le Tour de France 2014 is passing through our backyard and Bergerac Wine Tours is doing “Le Tour de France special” on the 25th July 2014.
We have managed to secure private prime spot by the road in Eymet, last town before the Bergerac where race will end on the 25th July.
The French Independent Winegrowers – 2013 London
In January 2013 French independent winegrowers took to the Royal Horticultural Halls in central London and displayed some top quality wines for members of the wine trade, media and enthusiasts alike. It was the fourth year in a row the winegrowers had been here and this time there were 71 winegrowers from the independent growing fraternity in France at the event.
Bergerac Wine Tours crew was exited to be present at the event and sample some wonderful nectars from various regions.
